Well you have to remember that there's literally thousands of t-shirts added each week. ^_^
The easiest way to get people to see your stuff is to send them a link to your store, which follows the format of...
http://www.cafepress.com/ and the name you assigned your store. If you go to the My Account section, it'll have the link there.
The main way that shirts show up when people are just browsing through them is the name of your shirt, it's description, and the tags you assigned to it. (Tags are basic words that people might search for, for example... if you were selling a shirt for bird lovers you'd put words like "bird birdcall robin finch watching" which are related terms. Of course if you wanted to say, have it come up more often, you'd put in common search terms from a related topic as well. (ex "hobby binocular spectator tranquility")
You can have the best design in the world and have it fail if you don't do a good job filling out those description fields.
