Default Unconnected Paths, Overlapting colors

Hi, I just wanted to know how overlapping paths and colors will effect screen printing. I have designs where 3 points come together often and I'm unable to connect the paths together in Adobe Illustrator CS2 (Win) I'll attach an example of one of the objects that's going to appear on one of my shirts. I would also like to know, if this isn't a problem is it still considered bad practice? I want to start laying down colors for my objects but I'd like to wait until I can find an answer to this issue. I should also mention I'll be using Jaxprints. (if that helps at all) I have yet to heard back from them yet on the issue.

Looks as if I'll probably have to wait to upload a file, hopfully my post wasn't too confusing to understand w/o the file.
