I am currently doing the trial of CorelDraw X4 and find it to be extremely overwhelming. I am new to these sorts of program and when I try to draw my pictures, they come out looking nothing like my sketches or just look very bad.
Is there a good book or website or video tutorial that someone can point me to, that will help me out with this.
check your X4 help for for coreltrace. You can import your picture, run trace and it will convert your image to a vector file which will allow you to edit it.
learning to draw freehand with a mouse takes some practice - a lot of it in fact LOL - just like learning to draw with a pencil did. or.......if you budget permits, splurge on a graphics tablet with a stylus - it'll feel much more 'natural' in your hand than the mouse. just don't get the teeny one - no matter what they tell you, size DOES matter - and bigger is better with those tablets!!
