At least for the C88, this thread might be useful for you. It's on re-fill carts, which it sounds like you could save a bundle on ink. If you go throught that much ink, you're probably a candidate for cis, but if you don't want to face the expense of cis yet, this set of re-fill carts with the ink is similar in price to a full set of OEM Durabrites.
