Default Please help for screen printing...

Hi there! I have a logo that I vectorized on Corel Draw. The company which is going to process this logo told me that the logo must be two layers only because the machine that cuts out the letters can only recognize that. I'm really confused because I do the two layers, and I remember the people telling me that I have to group it, but then it becomes one layer. I remember seeing the program for the cutting machine and whenever they put my logo file into it it showed a huge list of colours used in my logo...whereas the people told me it cannot exceed 2. Sorry if my post is confusing. Please help!

OK just to clarify. I need to know the difference between the following two files:

Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!

Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!

I need to make the "Jays" logo like the "KC" logo. It's for screen printing and the machine is only able to recognizes logo's like the KC one. I'm not sure how the format of my Jays logo is different than the format of the KC logo. I think it's that I have too many objects/curves in my Jays logo? Someone please help! Thanks!

I looked at both files. If I understand you correctly, you are screen printing these. If that is the case, they are fine other than the fact that you have RGB colors assigned to them rather than Pantone spot colors. Some printer will not accept the art work unless it is spot colors.

If it is screen printing, I have no idea what they mean by "cutting". They will print color seperations and expose screens, but have never heard of "cutting" for screen printing.

It sounds like they're cutting the letters out on a vinyl cutter, not screen printing them.

If this is the case, just convert the outline to an object. This file should now be able to be cut. Hope this helps.
