Need to Register?

I just got corel because my print distributor likes it in corel and not photoshop. so i am trying to convert the designs i made in photoshopcs to corel without having to do all over. But for some text, when i import it into corel it wount let me convert it to curves, and how do i vectorized images that i have. Or do i have to pretty much start over thanks.

Depending on the dpi you did it on in photoshop you may just be able to trace it using corel and make it come out ok. If it doesn't then you will more than likely have to redo it in Corel.

Corel has an Autotrace feature that could trace the design for you. That being said, there are certain problems with auto tracing (in any program). They can't really trace any shading, glows, shadows, or photos and such. They will do it with a stepped flow to it. Also, if you try to trace letters, they won't look good. Tracing is best on designs with areas of flat color.

and if your photoshop file is a photo..those do not vector well at all..esp with corel trace, IL trace or any of the 'DIY' programs

Also, maybe you could see if there are anyother printers that take photoshop.

thanks for the import, i dont deal with photos that much, i just used photoshop becuase i knew the most aobut that i mostly deal with illustrations clipart as such
