This is one of the most powerful production design techniques I have learned over the years. Some real time saving stuff here that you can use to edit and make good design from clipart and images that don't really suit the look you want in your design,
This is a stand alone vid you won't find on my site. As I do not wish to violate self promtional rules in the forums.

Its amazing some of the things you can when you know your software. Over the years I have watched people do things in hours that you can actually do in minutes. Which in this business is critical most of the time becuase you don't have big art budgets.

Something I've noticed in PowerTrace in X3 is that even when an image is black and white, it sort of segements each color, so black objects will be a conglomeration of little black objects that need to be welded together to make a whole. Has that been improved in X4? It seems like it with your video.
Thanks for posting that!

Chani, i downloaded the 15 day trial from Corel's website. The trace feature has definitely improved!
As for your specific issue, in my experience it is somewhat the same (i may be doing something wrong, though).
I wanted Illustrator because i preferred their Live Trace feature to CD's; i don't think i'll need it if/when i get X4.

I was one of those people until I found your site and purchased your power training cd's. Thanks for all the time-saving training.

There are several ways to overcome this. You can change the trace type settings and you will not have this problem. I will be on raod traveling for a few days and then I will try to do a short vid to show you how to over come this..
