Default Design help

I just sent in my first design into f&m, and there were a couple problems with the design. I dont have corel draw yet on my computer, so im trying to tell my mom how to do this stuff over the phone, but we are both stumped by this. They told me that i needed to get all the white out of the design if we dont want it to be printed, but we dont know how to get the white out of the softballs we put on the page in corel draw.

could someone please help?

thanks

If you did that in Illustrator on a Mac (and from the screen shot it looks like you did), email to me and I'll fix it for you. I will PM you my info.

That would get the job done, but F&M only accepts vector files.

select the ball in it's entirety in corel and then 'combine' but then bear in mind that your purple background (if that's part of the design...) will show thru.

Well now that's a good question!

Justin: Why wouldn't you want the white to print? If you're doing the F&M Freedom transfers it wouldn't cost you any extra.

Sorry, guess i shoud have clarified this a bit more. We are printing them on white shirts, so we would just need the black outline of the softball. F&M put the purple on there and opened it in illustrator and sent that picture back to me. I sent the design in vector format through corel draw and that was fine, i just had to make a couple changes to my design, and this was the only change we couldnt figure out.

That is an easy fix. I dont do Illy, just corel. but the white background has to be either a fill (of the circle maybe) or an object itself. If it is a fill, remove it and just use the outline. If it is an object itself, delete it.

Send it to me in PDF and I will look at it for ya.

While I have not used the "Freedom" prints, a friend of mine has. Large areas of print do not have a soft hand. They feel "plastic like".

Not my opinion, just what I was told.
