im new to this forum and the idea of making my own clothing, but this is my dilemma.
i just wanna make a few t-shirts to promote my band, and i dont want to spend a lot of money, i just wanna be able to get a logo on a shirt.
i was snooping around this forum and saw that a lot of money can go into making shirts, so i was wondering if someone can break down how i would go about making like 10 shirts for cheap and with limited supplies. i would really appreciate the help.
Hi taternuts,
Welcome to the forums. Maybe you could print out some heat transfers your self and find someone local that has a heat press that can apply them for you, that is the cheapest way I can think to get them done. Alot of embroidery shops also have heat presses. Maybe you can call a few in your area and see if one would help

It doesnt really work well because of the pressure needed to get the transfer to adhere correctly. You could try but I dont think it would work well. One way of finding out is to order some sample paper from some place like coastal supplies and try it

For light color shirts you want to make sure you get light transfer paper, and for dark color shirts you want to get an opaque paper. For light color shirts alot of people have been having really great luck with jet pro soft stretch, I am not really sure there is a great paper for darks but there are some out there. If you go to the heat transfer section of the forum you will find tons of info on different papers and transfers.
Hope this helps
