If you are printing out of photoshop to a, and I'll assume an epson 3000 or up, open the sep file, and hit the channels instead of the layers tab (default middle right hand side of the photoshop workspace) then view each channel individualy. Printing each channel there is a "screen" button. In that there are some options. Hit print "OK" and just keep doing that through each one. If your using a RIP printer, ie Epson 7600, you will get a small Caution Error, just click through it.

Hope that helps.

Oh if your wondering how, if it's on black shirts I would print a light base (light gray) and a heavy white. The seps should take care of themselves. Giving you white where white needs to be and the base allowing the black of the shirt to take care of the rest.

Now if your planning on printing the black because the shirt color is not black, take a look at your seps and see where you can reduce the black.

Let me know if you need any help after that.

Generally it's best to let those that have the tools do the work.

so I am in the same boat as Nathan. I am attempting to do my first two color job. I have the cat in the hat image. I need to make a screen for the black outline of the entire thing and then a screen for the red ink in the hat and the bow tie. I have spent about 10 hours trying to figure this out in Photoshop CS2. No luck. I have messed with the channels but am having no luck. Can someone slowly walk me through this? I have read and read threads about this process and am still not able to get the channel thing working properly. I can email you the image if you want to take a look at what I am talking about. Thank you for anyone willing to take the time to help.
