Design is the easy part. It's the printing that is a challenge. Have to find someone who can print in that large of a format. Plus I think designers have rolls of fabric made and cut the center. One reason they are so pricey.

Design is not so easy. You need a graphic designer. Everyone thinks just a few tutorials in photoshop makes them a designer. I went to school for this and it takes a while/years to get good. Especially if you are doing hi-end stuff I would suggest hiring someone or going to school to learn. You won't learn it overnight.

That's a crock. You must be a printer.

I agree with Keith. It does take years. Ive been in it for 11 and with the digital prints entering the sign biz it was either re-train my self in design or fall behind in the sign industry!!

Im happy this has happened because sign making is once again an art form. First take a class and then use tutorials. There are some really good photoshop books out there!!

Classes only get you by. A true artist/designer/illustrator for anything especially garment designs has to have a honed artistic skill or your stuff looks like... well we all know what crappy shirts look like. So yea photoshop books will only get you so far. Hire out an artist, we're starving ya know.

I for one, Illustrate, Scan, Photoshop, Seperate and assist in the printing aspect of all my art jobs. It's a full swing project if you ask me. It doesn't stop with just the art.

Let me know if I can help you in any way.

I didn't mean all design is easy. I have a knack for what looks good together. Sorry if any offence was taken. I am still learning PS and Illi. But I have more fun creating the art then I do printing and I have a DTG printer-how sad is that?
