Default Layered inks?

Hey guys I'm designing a shirt that the inks will be layered. In the past I've designed art with not objects intersecting so the print was simple. This is the most complex art I've designed and though I built in correctly (pathfinder, minus back, etc...) There are objects overlaping each other. I'm sort of a tight budget and I'm wondering will this be an extra cost because the ink needs to be put down seprately? I need advsie from a pro screen printer. Also will the little dots on the devils chest be an issue in printing? Some of them are quite small.

Thanks All

it could be done as a 1 color print using halftones to make the lighter shade. the overlapping shouldn't matter. what program did you use to create it? i'm not sure about illustrator but in corel draw if the colors are set up as spot colors, then the lighter color will be knocked out where there are overlaps, but then that will be a 2 color print. to make it a one color, make it a tint of the original color.

When you say one color you mean just pick a PMS or just black? So will I be billed as a 1 color job?

I did this job using Adobe Illustrator

that should work. I even will set stuff up as cmyk or rgb black and a percentage of that for greys, it will still be a 1 color job.

i guess the image is just a small portion but from what i can tell, that's a cool design
