Any help would be great!!
Product Type Descriptions
CD & KeyCD & Key software includes only the installation disc(s) and a single product key for activation of the product (if necessary). It is similar to OEM packaging, but does not include a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). Everything you need for installation is provided with the package. CD & Key software is only available in “full version” editions. This type of product is not eligible for support from the manufacturer, and cannot be transferred, even if the original computer breaks. The discs and/or packaging may include “promotional stamping,” but under USA copyright law, any such stamping becomes irrelevant verbiage once it reaches our wholesale market.
Retail BoxRetail Box software comes packaged in a cardboard or plastic box, or a DVD case. Installation disc(s) are included. It is typically eligible for free tech support from the manufacturer, and often (but not always) includes printed manuals. It is functionally identical to the software you would buy in a major electronics store.
OEMOEM software is a full version of the software which will include the installation disc(s), Certificate of Authenticity, and product keycode/serial number (if necessary). OEM software does not come in a retail box, doesn’t include printed manuals, cannot be transferred (even if the original computer breaks), and is not eligible for free technical support from the manufacturer. Help files are normally included on the disc. OEM software is only available in “full version” editions, meaning there are no OEM upgrade products. OEM software can, however, be upgraded to future versions of the software.
UpgradeUpgrade software comes in a retail box or DVD case, and includes everything a retail box product would normally include. To use upgrade software, you must be running an eligible previous version of the software on your system. The list of software you can upgrade from is included in the product description. Once the software examines your computer and finds an eligible previous version, it will install the complete version of the software.Product
OnlyProduct Only packaging includes only the product itself (such as a cable or surge suppressor), and is not packaged in a retail box. Warranty cards and instructions are not included, and any guarantees offered by the manufacturer do not apply.
First, check corel.com for the list of software that qualifies for upgrade to X4. You will find that many versions of Draw (back to the early single digit versions) and other programs may qualify you for X4 at the upgrade price. May save you a bunch of money.
Correct guys but I think he wants to get x3 so he can get the drawings converter. I don't know all of the versions that works on or if it works on any others at all personally but as other people said an older version to x4 is your best bet. I would assume drawings would work with x4 but I am not sure.

Thats correct. Thought going to X3 from Corel 10 as upgrading would be less expensive that from Corel 10 to x4. And I not sure if just upgrading from corel 10 to x4 is even possible since corel 10 does not have the drawings converter. Eventually will be adding digitizing to x4, but not sure if that is another module or bundled with x4.
Correct and I assume a DRAWings for X4 is not out yet and I am about 80% sure it doesn't come with it as DRAWings for X3 isn't included with X3. I would say just get a cheap one and upgrade to X3 for now, from what I have heard so far the upgrade from X3 to X4 isn't quite worth it yet but if you have 12 or below it is probably worth it. As you are going to use the DRAWings converter my opinion would be stick with X3
DRAWings 3 was bundled with Corel Draw X3
DRAWings 4 not bundled with Corel Draw X4, but Deco Studio bundled with Corel Draw X4 (see Wilcom Home - Embroidery Software and Solutions for deco Studio details)
DRAWings 4 will be available as a product, bundled with another product I believe.
OK bear with me as I am a little slow (today). Originally, I wanted to have the ability to auto digitized *within limits, and to take an image from a vector format to a stitch format with minor tweaking. I already have corel 10, but to get to what I wanted it was necessary to upgrade to x3 and then to add the drawings program to qualify for an upgrade price. The full version from corel 10 to drawings x3 would have cost 1,700 - 2,200. Now with the replacement of x3 with x4, does this have digitizing built in with out the purchase of any other program?
I understand that x3 (x4) is vector art, but without drawings you were not able to digitize on that vector program.
Hello, new to the site and I was wondering what version of Coral or the software that creates designs like this?? I'm a photographer looking to get into t-shirt designing and printing business....
Thanks!!
Marc
Time and Talent are used for that shirt.
I do alot of designs just like that, and there is alot of both involved.
Corel is what I would use for that design.
