Red face Color of shirt color of ink

Is there a chart that is available that we can use to match color of tee shirts to color of ink. I need a background the same color as the shirt. I am finding it difficult to match the gilden Forest green. yes even I need help..

The Pantone colour for Gildan Forest Green is 350 U. Are you using Photoshop? You can use Pantone colours on that...I guess Corel has a similar function.

But if you don't have a $4000 colour true printer, it won't be printing out in true Pantone accurate colours anyway....a little experimentation and variation on 350 U may be required to find your printer's variation.

For reference, here are all the Gildan Pantone colours:

I don't know if this is possible with heat press, but could you leave out the ink on that part of the design so the color of the shirt shows through.

That way you wouldn't have to match the color, you could just use the garment color (this is done often with screen printing).

But that does not work with Opaque on dark shirts Rod.. I am getting some plastisol samples to see if I can do this. Thanks for all your help.

You can check this for reference:

Of course, your monitor may make them be off a little bit.

Especially if you're using a TFT/LCD (as opposed to a CRT)
