I'm having my shirts screen printed and i have a size range from xs through to xxl, the size print which looks good on the xs looks way too small on the xxl, would i have to pay for a separate screen to be made for the bigger designs?
Do others enlarge their graphic sizes as the shirts increase too?

I always leave the decision to enlarge or reduce the art according to shirt size up to the client. Most of the time they opt to find a happy medium. If they do choose to enlarge or reduce I charge for another set of seps and screens especially if it'a a small run/3 or more colors. If its a large run/3 or more colors, I will only charge for seps (hard cost) and throw in the screen setup (time). My printer can set up a job on our M&R Gauntlet faster than pin registration. If it's a 1 or 2 color job I will only charge for the film and throw in the setup no matter how many shirts. So to answer your question, I think you should have to pay for 2 different sizes of artwork even if it is only the film.

i don't usually increase image size til i get to 3XL - it's more cost effective for the client to design a little mid-range - apperance is a little bigger on the small, a little smaller on the 2X but not out of line in either direction. i usually do layouts geared toward size large and it works well, like i said up to 3XL - 6XL which DO need to be larger.

size is always really up to you if you are using .ai/.eps resizing is no problem because you wont lose quality. just keep in mind everytime you resize for print that you will need to get new screens made.

no clue, I dont have that program. sorry. I am sure there are tons of people here than can help. it may take a little while for an answer but it will come eventually.

I also leave the size up to my client, most of the time they'll go with a size that works for both so they don't have to pay for more artwork and screens.
If we're printing on light color shirts, sometimes they'll choose to direct print them instead.

I have a Brother GT-541....it's kind of like an inkjet printer but made for garments that you feed the t-shirts directly into and print...heat press and you're done. does full color graphics on light colored garments .... it's a great thing but to get the brother I think they run around $20k
