Default Question about Knife Tool on CorelDrawX3

Hey this is a simple question I'm sure, but when you use the knife tool and delete a segment, there is a line that takes it's place. For example, when you cut a circle and delete a halve, there is a line that appears where the knife tool was used. How can I remove that line?

Thanks!

With object selected...press F10 (Shape tool) - Click it and add point

Then right click that point and select break apart.
Here's the kicker, re-select the 2 points now and delete. An open path result.
If you keep the selected point and choose delete, one remains making you go delete the other.

Wow... i didnt realize ppl actually use the knife tool.
