Default Scanned image enlargemnet...specs?

Hi all. So I have an idea for a shirt, but the problem is it's a small set of graphics from many yrs ago. They were created on playing cards for my dad many many yrs when he owened his own print shop. I would like to scan them in and enlarge them to be much larger. But I'm not sure how to do this without loosing the quality. Unfortunately I'll be using Photoshop 6 since I don't have Corel Draw yet

Could anyone help me with what steps to do this? Thanks in advance

Scan the images at 300dpi. After you scan the image try using Alienskin blowup. Its a photoshop plugin that blows up small images without loosing much detail. You can get the demo fully functional for 30 days.

Wow...thanks everyone for the help I will for sure try these out

Next question....any ideas on a good scanner? I have one but it's pretty old and I'm pretty sure the newer ones offer better scanning abilities. The one I've got is an HP about 6 yrs old. I also use it for scanning film pics to turn them into digital pics.
