Red face best delivery methods

Hello guys, here goes: I was wondering what type of artwork should be delivered to a screen printer? eps.,pdf, jpg? I am having someone create my art work and want to make sure that I am asking for the right files. I dont know what these are,but would like to know a general type.I do understand that I would need to talk to the "local" screen printer to find their preference. I just want to understand so when he is talking to me I am not "picking my nose" hehe!

Getting it in vector format (eps or cdr) is the most flexible. Especially in sizing. Then, a vector can easily be converted to a jpg, pdf or whatever.

Of course, it will also help a great deal if you have Illustrator or Coreldraw.

Remember if you're sending vector or psd to convert all your fonts to curves. While most designers collect fonts like candy, it's impossible to have ALL of them; they may not have yours.

Hi, Toni - Does the person creating the artwork know that it will be used for screen printing? Sounds like a simple question, but as already mentioned, if it's not created in vector it will be a headache.

The person creating the art should already have a pretty good idea what the printer requires - and if the printer has a website, the artwork requirements should be listed on it. Best of luck!
