Default I need an assist with vector graphic

Hello i guess i can say i was somewhat lucky i came across a printer that has over 15 years of experience and he somewhat preferred to receive my PSD files..I have my own web design business so i understand using vectors. BuT i dont have an understanding of it from the perspective of a printer...i continue to use my psd files...and my designs are typically 1 maybe 2 colors to contrast with my black tees. I buy allot of royalty free brushes that are typically vector so i dont have a problem with pixelation. However, I just have my fear that down the road i may have to use a different printer and i'll have to use a diffrent printer who would prefer the file in an eps format. I have Photshosp CS3, and the same with Illustrator. However, i made a nice design in photoshop and used vectormagic to vector the work. The question to you all is?

Does this classify the work as "print worthy" just because its a vector or is there more to it than that? Note: I do understand the point about the color setup...but for ex. if i have a logo that has red splatters in the back ground, and a 2 shade grey skull...would i need to open up the .eps and try to seperate the layers?

I basically self taught myself web design, Photoshop and so on, and now I'll have to probably have to do the same with Illustrator.. However, the big problem is that i have somewhat of a high demand for my tees AND web work so i can't really focus on learning Illustrator as much as i did when i taught myself photoshop.

I know i typed allot but thx in advance

Perhaps you want to farm it out to vectorize your images to be print ready? We use Jude at gomez-dieter.com - she is extremely fast and very reasonable with pricing.

Any screen-printer worth their salt can separate in both Photoshop and Illustrator (or like programs). However, it is much much easier to separate simple designs when they are vector. CS3 gives you the options to livetrace your images and limit the number of colors you are using. I would suggest however that you start creating in Illustrator, it makes it much easier in the long run. Also, absolutely do no use the blending tools or gradient mesh tools in Illustrator. If you need to create some dimension to your designs, then use simple gradient fills and gradient tools. Also, I would use nothing but Pantone Solid coated colors. CS3 has a cool way of converting your image to Pantones if you didn't start with them in the first place.
