Default Trends 2008

Does anyone have any good insight into what the tee shirt trends are for 2008?
I'm doing handmade appliques and would love to jump from the kids market to the adult market but don't know what direction I should head.

You could try the pantone guide for spring 08 colors. This may give you some ideas. I also read an article recently about the "worn" look fading out and crisp and clean coming back.

Big will be big in 2008. I'm investing heavily in my business to gain the ability to screen print over sized designs.

At the same time, i think full color (process color) is an area of the market which has much more demand than qualified printers to produce it. My prototype shirts have gotten a fantastic response.

Shirt design needs to move on from the skulls. Much of this follows the music industry, where skull prints are top sellers much the way the Beatles and zeppelin once again are topping the charts. My bet is on a band named the bastard suns. My worker is the lead singer, so they have been handy to use to testing and it greatly helps the band to have merchandise. I've been working with them for a couple years and am always amazed and pleased when i see my earliest shirts still being worn and have obviously been worn to death. Many bands need merchandise. People love band shirts. We can't wait till we can produce oversized full color prints on black shirts!

Big, bold, colorful and something with a real meaning.

fluro and big are in at the moment... how long will it last? i don't think that it will carry on for all of 2008... the underlying factor with fluro and big is simplicity and to me it seems that people are after a simple design that others will 'get' when they're showcasing their new threads
