usually the line art/trace is done in corel or illustrator (starting with a photo or pencil sketch) and then it is colored in photoshop. Some is done all in vector but the chrome and all looks like photoshop to me

I dont know where or how but I like the tuner drift designs.

I figured it might be a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator. I can't see being able to do gradients like that in Illustrator, but I'm no expert so I figured I'd ask.

those can be done in either raster or vector programs.

Right, but as far as printing goes, don't Photoshop gradients usually print with better detail than Illustrator gradients? Or have they improved upon that in recent years?

couldnt say about Illy. I use Corel. I would say both work real well its just both programs have abilities the other cannot achieve.
