Hi Dean
You shouldnt have to trace it in Artcut (it only traces bitmaps), just make sure you click 'export' in coreldraw and save as 'plt ' or 'eps'.

Artcut can import both (i've got v5 and corelX3), but use the 'import' command there, not 'open'.

Teri
Oh and if you ARE tracing bmps, then yes they always need a 'clean up' before cutting. I've found resizing the bmp to 400% or 800% BEFORE tracing helps a lot. Also try different combinations of the 'high', 'common', and 'low' on both options (just move the other ones out of the way so you know which one's which). X3 traces MUCH better than artcut on complex designs, maybe check to see if your corel version does it?

You can do the attached (top one) with copy and cutout, but that's more of a shadow than 3D, the bottom one needed a bit of node editing to be truly 3D.

If u like, PM me the file and we can see if i have better luck.

I'd check in your corel help file for a trace function - it'd have to be quicker. Also try the enlarging first aswell as the other suggestions.
