Ok...I'm going to cry. I'm just starting out and wanted to get an easy software to use like t-shirt factory or hanes t-shirt maker, but both programs are only made to work on PC and I have a Macbook. I've been looking for another software that I can use that'll be easy for me to work with, but still can't seem to find anything. If someone knows of another program like t-shirt factory that I can use on my Macbook or anything else that would be fairly easy for me to get started with please let me know. Thanks....much appreciated.
To run windows I would have to buy the windows operating system and install it on my Mac. If I can't find any software compatible with my Mac I guess that's what I'll have to do, but I'd rather use Mac software if possible. Thanks for responding.
You have found the achilles heel of the Mac system!. My wife uses Macs and it is getting harder and harder to find programs. I have been in to the PC world forever...and there is not anything a mac can do now that I can't.
but to answer your question...not many programs are out there...and I dont think I would put windows on a mac...and you will need the new mac system to run boot camp as intended. the beta program is a bit buggy. I would buy a cheap PC...probably get one for around $300-$500 over the holiday sales...

Actually, I think it is easier to find programs than it used to be. Honestly, all these T-shirt programs are, are clip-art collections with a simple layout prog. Nothing you couldn't do on your own with a little hard work and learning.
If you get a new PC, just make sure that whatever software you are looking for runs on the Vista operating system. I speak from experience on this one.

you can still get a PC from Dell with XP.. when I was mentioning the lack of PC software...I was not clear...I meant programs like Corel and some other rather specific programs...sorry for my omission

Yeah...I really don't want to put windows on my Mac. I have a Dell but it was a piece of junk the day I took it out of the box. I was looking around some more and found macware logodesign studio. macware 00540-1 LogoDesign Studio for Macintosh
Did anyone ever hear of this software? Or if you guys have a chance take a look and tell me if you think it's something that I could possibly use. Thanks again.

Yea, I like this one too-lol.
I am a Graphic Designer and have been for years. I am also proficient in both mac's and PC's. Lets just say I use my PC for gaming and my mac for work.
The full Adobe studio is available for the mac and I highly recommend it over a PC. Especially for Photoshop, Illustrator and even In-Design. It is really all you would ever need.
Yeah...I know Adobe software is the probably the best to use, but I wanted to use something that's simple since I don't have much experience so that I could at least get started and then in my spare time get to know Adobe. Eventually I'll be getting the Adobe software. Thanks
I've used my PPC Mac from day one in the business (and it's a dinosaur!).
Still the best, and only choice in my opinion, for graphics. But everything has become high-dollar with OS X and Intel-Macs.
I started out with Deneba Canvas 5.0, then bumped up to 7.0. Why? Because it had 90% of the capabilities of Photoshop, Illustrator and Pagemaker (working with photos, vector-art, text, multipage documents, etc. etc. seamlessly, gracefully---at about $500 LESS than the Big 3 combined, and it would run on my 6360 PPC Mac!)
My advice (all 7 years of it...) get on ebay or hunt for mac retro software for Canvas 7---it has a learning curve but will do 99% of everything you'll ever need to do kickass design work.
Sounds good. I looked around real quick and they're up to canvas 11, but like you said I'll look around and see if maybe I can find an older version that'll work with my Macbook. Thanks for the advice.
