Hi Guys!

does anyone knwo where I can get a free download of the Gigi font...my customer wants it, insists on it, but also only wants four shirts...so I don't want to pay for it.....or there goes all my profit. I only need three words in it......

make your customer pay for it or work it into the price. i'd think the mark-up would be pretty high for just 4 shirts.

ummmmm ray - you realize that's a serious copyright violation, right?? could cost you, whoever you share it with, AND cause this forum to be censured and/or shut down....not a good idea bud

i had no idea. i've never paid for any fonts. either free downloads or customers send them to me.
how do you know if fonts have a copyright?

if you go to your fonts file in windows and double click on the said font, it sometimes will say whether it is freeware or what the limits on use can be.

Ask the customer to supply the font. Obviously they have it if they created the design and insist you use it.

Have the customer supply you with the art that has had the text converted to paths.

i know in my experience with most customers, they have no idea what i'm talking about when asked for something like that. i love when you ask for vector format in eps or something & they send you a bitmap saved as an eps.

i typed what she needed, converted to curves & sent it to already.
