The two most used ones are JPEGs (export it out of CorelDraw) or BITMAPs (change it inside of CorelDraw). CutStudio will only let you import graphics in the following formats: jpeg, bmp, ai or eps files. There is a plug-in for CorelDraw on the Roland DGA Support site as well. There is a CD/DVD that comes with the cutter that use to have training / educational information on it that might help. Otherwise, a lot of distributors have some training information for you. Contact the company that sold you the cutter and see what they have. Hope this helps.
CutStudio does not really work the same way as Corel. So, retaining your vector format is not really that big of an issue and exporting it out as a jpeg will help control the colors better. CutStudio is a cutting program, not printing program. So, lock in as much of your color / printing settings as possible. I size the graphic in Corel or Photoshop and save it as a jpeg. Works the best for me.
I had the same problem and the only thing i can say is install the plug in it saved me tons of time all you do is click one button and it sends to the roland cutstudio ready to be cut. the cd that the cutter should have came with has the plugin install. put the cd in and it should pop up or got to the roland website and the have the plugin download
