Default Wondering how to Seperate LPI and solid spot for single piece of film

I cant figure out how to seperate a dpi color from a solid spot color to put on the same piece of film for screen printing in Illustrator. It either will come out on 2 pieces of film (1 solid and 1 dpi) or convert both colors to dpi... is there a way to get dpi and solid into the same pieces film for screen printing on to tee shirts?

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Sure is- basically, you have to save your raster image, as an EPS (multichannel), DCS2 file. then place into illustrator.

you can then output from illustrator with any type you want from illusrator.

the dcs place will be blurry so, print out some test paper sheets, before you print to film....

then choose which sep'd colors you want to output in the illustrator print dialog

this is kindof a quick explanation, hopefully I'll be able to get a tutorial together, soon.
