i'm fairly new to screen printing & so far all my designs/jobs have been solid colors. i would like to add a little more excitement to my drawings by adding some fades. nothing to major to start off, just single color like dark blue to light blue.
my question is will i still have to use process colors to do a single color fade?

any info or tips would be very helpful. i've been searching & reading the threads all day & although they are very informative, my background is in vinyl & vector graphics with solid colors. all this photoshop stuff is confusing. LOL!!!!!!
i do have photoshop, corel x3, flexisign 7.5 & i just ordered quikseps, which i'm hoping makes things easier.

You can do single color gradients using halftones where it fades to background color. So black ink on a white shirt would fade from black to white with shades of gray in between. Very easy with photoshop and either a postscript printer or ghostscript.

i guess on the next things to buy is a postscript printer. right now i have an epson stylus photo printer. since i'm only doing solid colors right now i mostly use aberlith or black HP vinyl with the clear backing for my negatives, cut on my plotter.

time to sell some more shirts. LOL!!!!!
