programs for photographs
are there any good programs that would let you do things to pictures you take. stuff like making them look blurry and adding crazy effects?

Re: programs for photographs Adobe Photoshop and CorelPhoto-Paint seem to be the most used among the professionals. With the Corel X3 suite you get the bonus of CorelDraw functions like trace.

Re: programs for photographs PhotoPlus6 is from freeserifsoftware.com. It's basic but FREE.
I also used Photo Impact 7 from ulead.com (I think this was a freebie when I got it). Very powerful...slight learning curve...I'd say comparable to early versions of PhotoShop.
Currently getting into Corel Paint that came with Corel Draw 12. So far, does what I need it to do.
