this has been bothering me for a few weeks now im just wondering how i can get photos black and white print ready, im pretty sure it has to with bitmaps and halftone screens.. but i can get never get it down.. il throw some examples for the look im trying to achieve thanks..

I would just print the original artwork to a postscript printer. You can specify the halftone setting in Photoshop. I was never able to get a decent result by converting to bitmap with a specified LPI. It worked, but the halftone quality was pretty bad compared to the output on a PS printer.
