Default Re: artist?????

These questions are too general. Better for what? It depends what kind of business you're running / what you're trying to achieve.

It depends. Let's say that you want to create a brand or a certain style, then you are better off with one artist. If you want have a distint line of clothing, then stick with one style and establish yourself on that. Later you can change it once it gets stale. Now if you are trying to create shirts that appeal to a lot of different demographics, then you may want to get a bunch o' artistes.

Most artists are slow- and easily offended with changes requested.

Their temperment, talent, speed- and your budget makes it wise to try different ones until finding the one best-suited to your needs!

We tend to use different ones because we want different things and like different styles. One artist may be really good at cartoons, then another may be really good at realistic, then another is really good at the grunge look. So it really depends on what your needs are.

I would go with two artists. One you would use for the bulk of your designs, so that it is consistent and you could probably get a discount; the other one as back-up or for more exclusive/upmarket designs, that way incase your first artist decides never to do business with you you've got a plan b.
