is it better to stay with one artist or have different artist all together?
is it better to stay with one artist or have different artist all together? another thing with designs, is it better to have way different types of designs or just stay with in the same type of designs?......thanks Wally*J
It depends. Let's say that you want to create a brand or a certain style, then you are better off with one artist. If you want have a distint line of clothing, then stick with one style and establish yourself on that. Later you can change it once it gets stale. Now if you are trying to create shirts that appeal to a lot of different demographics, then you may want to get a bunch o' artistes.

We tend to use different ones because we want different things and like different styles. One artist may be really good at cartoons, then another may be really good at realistic, then another is really good at the grunge look. So it really depends on what your needs are.

I would go with two artists. One you would use for the bulk of your designs, so that it is consistent and you could probably get a discount; the other one as back-up or for more exclusive/upmarket designs, that way incase your first artist decides never to do business with you you've got a plan b.
