Hi all, I am just starting out and I am alittle confused on which Photoshop to buy. I have heard of "photoshop", "photoshop 7.0" and "Photoshop for screen printing". I would hate to buy the wrong program so any help from you guys would be great, thanks, marie.
You could use whatever one is cheapest, depending on how long you want to do only text and simple grafix you might want to get a higher version so you have the capability to do all color seperatins
Hi -
I use Photoshop for ALL my graphics, but you can get even less expensive graphics applications if you're going to be doing mostly text. Also, you can find hundreds of free fonts to download online. Install them in My Computer > Windows > Fonts. It will help "Diversify" your graphics.
If you want to create designs a better investement would be a graphics software such as corel draw or illustrator as adobe photoshop is mainly a photo editing software. you can download trials of each and see if you like them or to see which one you like better, although you should download each one at a time so you can take your time getting to know some things about each one. Then when you find out which works best for you , you will know what to look for. You can also download a trial of the newer adobe photoshop and see if it will do what you want to do with your graphics.
Depends on your needs, the people i am getting to print for me prefer illustrator min version 10, although if using photoshop you'll need to use high resolution, version 5 is old but i know v7 to be ok, cant spk for earlier
