Default Transparent .png with Corel 11 - Possible?

Hi, all. I am trying to export .png files from Corel 11 with transparent backgrounds, but can't seem to do it. I know I did it at least once, because I have a .png file from a long time ago that has a transparent background.

I went on the Corel site and found that there was a patch for this problem, but it doesn't seem to be available anymore (and I'm not sure how I did it before without the patch!).

Someone said it could be done by exporting as .psd and using GIMP (free graphics program) to re-export, but that didn't work either. Granted, I'm not familiar with GIMP. I tried to export plain white text as .psd. Opened it in GIMP and all I saw was a black rectangle.

Any ideas, preferably just using CorelDraw?

Thank you.

It's simple to do in Corel 12 but I don't know about Corel 11, It's very easy
to do in Adobe Elements by just using the eraser tool.
