Default Separating colors.

OK, we have found the Large Mouth Bass we want. Next is to take the bass apart. I am new to photo shop, is this the best way to seperate the colors. Then I need to put in corel 12. We want 4-5 color. Or do I Auto trace it and then try to get my 4 or 5 separation's..

Easiest would be to autotrace the artwork then pick the colors. Color editing is much easier to do in vector programs than raster.

Thanks, I am going to be scanning this image, so after I import into corel 12 then auto trace. After that isn't there a ton of nodes???

Another way would be to reduce the colors in photoshop by posterizing the image. depending on your settings will depend on the final outcome. once your happy with the posterized image. Use Color range to select your specific colors. Clicking the "+" button will allow you to select more colors. Save your selections as channels, assign them to spot and add color. bam there are your separations.
