Default design help

What is the ave. area covered by a design on a tee. I was thinking like 8" x 11". This was do to the fact that paper is 8x11. Is this true?

8.5 x 11 is the size that most people who use heat transfers use. You could by an 11 x 17 printer if you need to go larger than that. If youre screen printing, you are only limited by the size of your screen. It depends on the design. Some designs look better massive...some are small on purpose. You can see how big 8.5 x 11 by holding up a piece of paper to a t-shirt. Really though, every shirt is different.
