Both Illustrator and CorelDraw are very powerful and therefore have a fairly steep learning curve.

If I had to vote, I would say CorelDraw is a little bit easier to learn and use [but that is just my opinion].

I would also say CorelDraw. There are so many tutorials available to help...

Plus 1 on CorelDraw being easier to learn. You could also get the Corel unleashed e-book. Lots of video tutorials there.

You could download demos from both Adobe and Corel, and test them out.

I agree. Both companies offer free trial periods from their official websites (corel.com and adobe.com).

If you try them out for a while, you'll be able to see which one you prefer.

I use the cutstudio plugin to go directly from Illustrator to my GX-24

I have used Illustrator since it came out in the old days. Corel is a good value ($) for what you get, but it doesn't work on a Mac, --which I have also used since it came out.

There is no easiest. They both work just fine with cutstudio.

The "easy" part comes with you learning the program (illustrator or corel). We can't tell you how easy that will be Different people adapt to different programs in different ways.

You can read people's opinions on which software they think was best for them, but that won't really tell you which is easiest. That's why we suggested that you download both and try them both out.

I use coreldraw with cutstudio, John uses illustrator. Both will give you the same results, but I'm more familiar with coreldraw and John prefer's illustrator

Where does one find the cutstudio plugin for Illustrator for the GX-24? I have a version of cutstudio that is old and only supports AI 7 and 8. Where can I find an upgrade? Been looking everywhere.

Thanks,
