so, i'm a terrible drawer, which limits me alot with the wholet-shirt design thing. and everywhere i look for free clipart and stuff, it just keeps leading back and forth to useless websites, or stuff i gotta pay for. also, using stock images seems like i'm cheating or something. so i was wondering if there is somewhere were i can ask somebody to draw me this specific thing, then i do something for them? or they just do it because they like drawing? i;m not really sure how it would work. but does anybody know of anything like that?? the pen i used to try to draw with...smells like jalapenos.
I doubt youll find a good enough artist willing to draw for the fun of it. There are some freelance sites out there where you can post yur job along with a price. If its too small of a fee youll never get any hits but might be worth trying
agree with Fluid...this is not really where you will get cheap art...as you will have just that...cheap art. this is a business for both sides..printer and artist. Both have to make money and I just don't see the barter system working in this way
You hit the nail on the head....barter! What do you have to trade and what is it worth? The more valuable your trade the more willing someone will be to barter their skills or products of value.
I barter all the time due to artists and screen printers having no desire to learn and master the art of quality sublimation printing and production. Just get a sound understanding of what will be bartered. Both should provide samples of their work. If art is involved you or they should provide samples of what detail the design should look like finished.
Lastly, if you have nothing to barter, take heed to what has been expressed. Don't think cheap, you get what you pay for.
While some freelance sites are great pools of talent one can utilize for talents and skills they themselves haven't learned; don't shop a low-ball job as you will normally only receive low-ball quality.
