Anyone here use dafont.com?
If so, Is a designer ok to use the fonts that read FREE next to them ok for T-shirt designs for resale? Thank you...

When you download the font, check to see if there is a readme.txt file in the folder outlining the usage. It has been my experience (13 years as a graphic designer) that you can use the font on retail items with no additional licensing required ... you just can't resale the font itself.

Are you refering to all fonts In general or just the fonts on Dafont.com with the Free marked next to them? I am trying to be as careful as possible. Thank you for your help.

All fonts – whether you pay for them or download them free of charge.

I see most of the fonts on dafont.com have a link by the font name that goes to the designer's or font foundry's website. If you really want to be on the safe side, try to contact them through their website to ask them about usage restrictions.

I did forget to mention that there may be restrictions on using characters from symbol and picture fonts (dingbats) as logos.
