Default I need to resize this

I'm trading my riding instructor t-shirts with her barn logo for riding lessons. She gave me one of the old shirts to use as a guide. I recreated it using CorelDRAW X3, (which hurts me everytime I open it.) It's getting better, I actually created something this time I can use...except for one small detail...my final product is too big. I need the whole image to be smaller and using the handle isn't working. I've tried group and ungroup. Maybe I didn't construct it in the right order?? any comments or suggestions would be very nice...

Rae try selecting the entire image and than changing the the percentage in the toolbar to a smaller number. You can play around with that until you get the size you want. You can also select the image and then change then size by changing the hight and width numbers also in the toolbar. hope this helps

Exclamation Re: I need to resize this

A special note about Corel Draw. If you used "lines" in your graphic and set a specific line thickness, The line size will not reduce when you resize the graphic. You can either select all of the lines and adjust the thickness to match your new graphic size, or use the following trick: Select an object, click on the copy, then paste icons to duplicate the objece on top of itself. Fill the top object with black the slightly Increase it's size. Use the layer command to place the black filled object behind it's color original and tweak the black copy to produce an even outline behind the original. The graphic now looks like it was outlined with the line tool, but as a actual graphic object, the outline will now scale with the entire graphic.

Did you get it? Are you using DRAW or PhotoPaint?

Or, in the "outline pen" dialogue window there is an option to "scale with image". That is the easiest way to go.

Agree 100%

There is a free macro that will search all objects and assign this function for you in a graphic. I have the link somewhere and will post later on. i believe it is in my blog on the CorelDRAW.com website

Default Re: I need to resize this

Hi All,

Thank you for your responses. I did get the design to the size I needed. I used two circles ( a circle in a circle) for the border. I used weld to make them one object and it worked. Maybe not the most efficient way but it worked...

I'm using CorelDraw X3. I think it has a serious learning curve, but once I understand how to do what I need to do ( and remember what I did for the next time...getting old is rough) it's easy. I've used all the tips on advancedartist.com and I have the Unleashed DVD. Both of those are great tutorials, as are the responses from members of this forum. I will look at your blog Fluid...

Thanks again.
