Default what artwork format do printers need?

I need to know what format should my artwork be in before I send it to the screen printer. I think it's jpeg, but I really don't know. Is that correct? I appreciate your help.

It depends on what kind of printing your going to be doing. If it's a transfer a high resolution jpeg will do. If its screen printing the artwork should be a vector file usually done in illustrator or corel draw. The file extension should be .eps

jpeg is a crappy file format for anything print related. Fine for onscreen display, but it's not a print format.

Depending on the artwork and how it was created, the best is often the native file format (that is ai, psd, etc.). PDF is also a good universally readable high quality file format. EPS is good.

You need to contact your screen printer and ask him what format he wants.
