Default Illustrator CS2 anchor point question

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know if there is a shift key pattern or something that allows you to select an area of a path with multiple anchor points in order to delete those points without having to click on each individual anchor point? Obviously if you left click and try to select an area, it moves the entire path.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Jon

You can use the Direct Selection Tool (the white arrow) to select single anchorpoints or paths and delete them. Hold down Shift and click at points to add more to the selection.
Or you could use the Lasso Tool to select several anchorpoints at once in an area

i dont think you can delete more than one anchor point at a time without selecting them like LOOT said. If you used the auto trace tool and it gave you more anchor points than you would like, you could always select the smooth tool (click and hold down the pencil tool button) and do it that way.
