Last time, I bought an Apple 23" Cinema LCD, which was great for about 2 years but now has the dreaded magenta cast that I now find out was pretty common for these things. Ugh.
Am looking for suggestions from anyone here who is a graphic designer or photoshop artist and has found an LCD monitor that is accurate for color work and corrections.
I was hoping for responses from people who depend on their monitors for professional, color-critical work with this one, though maybe I wasn't specific enough.
If I research long enough, maybe the prices will come down
I don't own it (yet) but have checked it out in stores a few times. I have to say the display is slightly better than Dell's 24". It has gotten rave reviews, usually higher than Dell's version and is on sale now. Just checked a couple of weeks ago and it was $679, now it's $579.

ViewSonic's here..........3 of them - 2 CRT's and one flat panel, ranging in age from almost brand new to more than 4 yrs old........the flat panel is a great space saver on hubby's desk, but i gotta tell ya - the CRT's are definitely better for design work!!
I havent found and lcd monitor that has even been close yet. I have had 3 different lcd's and none of them displayed colors right. I have 2 22" lcd monitors and i CRT monitor for my design work. If you find an lcd that works well let me know please . .
