Wink Screenprint Vs Heat Transfer

Hi all,
I'm from Brisbane, QLD in Oz and my brother and I are starting up our own tshirt label. We want to print our label (just one word) in bright colours on darker fabric shirts. For example a bright orange/pink on grey marle and sky blue coloured fabric. We also want a really crisp white on darker blue fabrics. The t-shirts will be 100% cotton. Does anyone have any advice on which methods are out there to use that would be the highest quality. We don't want the colours to bleed or the transfers to fall off! How do you ensure that this wouldn't happen. What would we have to say to our printers to make sure the highest quality is done?
Thanks so much fellow t-shirt makers
Nicky J
