Default Should I hire a Designer? Or keep what I am doing...

Hey everyone!
my clothing company currently does not have a designer, how i get my designs is I have all the designers I know and that find us just design what they want, and I put it up in a section on our myspace and have my myspace friends vote, and whatever shirt gets the best votes, I pay the designer and send it off to get printed. This is good becuase I get alot of designers art expression, and individuality, And also alot of them ask me what I want done, But.. This makes it hard to get things like.. Promotional banners On and offline, A good quality myspace, website, Photo editing, etc..

Suggestions?

Incase you were woundering and would like to see this system first hand, it's Forfeit Clothing, under the "Pics" section is where you'll find "future designs? You vote" where I am doing this currently

THank you!

Why?

If your getting good results using contracted artists I would not change it. When you purchase the designs make sure you get a copyright transfer of the design. If you do this you can use the designs for anything you want.

One thing that I've learned is that just because someone has talent, they may not have the specific talent that you're looking for. Every artist has their own genre that they excel in and if you can be patient and find the right artist for the project, you'll be much happier in the end.
As for where to find them, there are thousands of artists here on the forums. Post a classified ad as to what you want and ask for examples of artwork from the artists that respond.

You look at many of the freelance websites that are available like guru.com, ifreelance.com, designoutpost.com, elance.com, etc.
