I am using corel drawX3 and having a bit of difficulty here.....I am trying to output all my designs (to be plastisoled) and in order to do that they need to be in "CMYK" and 300 dpi....Now I think I may have screwed up and made all my pictures in RGB....not really sure what I did to tell you the truth, but the end result is that when I change my settings to CMYK all my pictures look totally bleached!! They loose all their vibrance. Is there any way to stop this from happening? "Or" do I now have to go back and re-color all my pictures? Is it simply a matter of changing a setting? If any one can help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated!!
Are you printing the artwork out for screen printing. Are you trying to get the artwork seperated. If so you should be using the Pantone solid color Palette to color your artwork.
I am actually trying to get it in the correct file format to e-mail it out to have it plastisoled for heat transfer. The requirments for the file are that it is in JPEG form with the colors in CMYK format and a resolution of at least 300 dpi. When I export the file from Corel X3 with this criteria the pictures become bleached out. I have been toying with it a bit and think I may have the problem solved...but not quite sure. Any idea why this is happening?
I think you should have used the Pantone solid palette. When you save it as a jpeg it will convert it back to cmyk i think & your colors shouldn't change
Thanks Lilmac....if I could just trouble with one question, and forgive me for sounding stupid as I am new at this all....but how do I find and utilize that pallet?
The images can be color corrected easily... Select each object you want to convert. Select the Fill tool and click Fill Color Dialog. Make sure the Color model is CMYK.
For each object with an outline: Select the Outline tool and click the Outline Color Dialog. Make sure the Color model is CMYK.
This information is in your user manual. Hope this helps.
