Hi gang,
I am having problems printing my bright blues & lime greens. They always turn out much darker & not bright. I have tried several different ways by clicking on advanced & properties within the C88 layout from using the brightest, contrast, saturation, different levels of the CMYK colors, Adobe RGB, etc.. I cannot even come close to the colors on the graphics. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advanced!
We started with a C88 using the OEM inks. We had similar issues. We also saw color shifting when the trasnfer was heated. Could not get true blacks. After much playing around, we got rid of the OEM cartridges and went to bulk ink systems. The hassle of set-up and plugging are almost compensated for by the much lower ink cost. The real reason is the color of the transfer is much better. We are still using the MAgic Mix inks. We have trie some others, but none have been consistently better so far.
The only real suggestion I have is to try lowering the temperature on your heat press a few degrees and see if it makes any difference.
Hi,
I am using the Epson Durabrite inks & Paintshop Pro 8. I also tried using my Canon MP150 printer & it also makes my bright blues & greens dark, so it seems my problem is not just the Epson or Durabrite inks. I have been trying to figure this out all day. My designs are done in RGB & my Canon MP150 is a RGB dye based ink. I have been testing with just plain white paper, as I don't want to use my transfer paper & waste them. The ink is dark right out of the printer & not after being heat pressed. I have not heat pressed anything, since I want the colors to look like the design I have made.
Try to change the "Gamut" calibration between your program and printer. Target your program's gamut. That should take care of it.
Huh???
You totally lost me on this one Greg!!
I have this same problem and really want to know what you are talking about here??
