Hey Rodney,
just wanted to say thanks for giving us the opportunity. The prizes are very generous. I've really enjoyed working on the design, although I'm on my 3rd attempt now :-) It just hasn't come together yet, but I'm still working on it... got a couple weeks left. I'm anxious to see everybody else's designs. I know there will be a lot of good ones with all the talented people here.

Hey Rusty, I'm sure it'll come together in time

I look forward to seeing all the entries as well.

I'll be sending out an announcement via PM next week about it, just as a reminder to let folks know about the contest and deadline. I'm really hoping for at least double the number of design entries from last year's contest.

If at all possible, I'd prefer not to extend the contest, since there are still several weeks left before the deadline.

But I'm a flexible guy. If there's a big demand for it and there aren't very many entries by the deadline, then we can consider it. There's still a lot of time left though

The rules have been clearly set and announced to all from the outset - and I believe Jasonda herself made the following point to someone else early in the thread: "there's no pint to having rules if you can bend or break them"!

If anyone is really committed, they will make sure they get their design in by the current deadline, no matter what. It's not as if the deadline was tight in the first place - 6 weeks is sufficient time for anyone who is at all keen to make sure they have their design done and submitted. Just my opinion.
