ok, that's cool, especially to a newbie.
How, or would it be possible to expand that into other comps? i.e caps, hats, totes, bags, mugs.....?

Or is there another program out there that does that?

Thank you for posting this free download and thanks to Tom the author! I love it! What I like the most is it automatically reduces your design to fit into the t-shirt graphic. If my design is 8 x 10, it reduces it proportionately and gives you a real good idea of how the design will fit on the t-shirt!

just a thought on the new version you're working on...
It would be nice if, when it reduces the picture to some how see if there's a way to indicate the size of the new picture-- i.e. if the original graphic is 10 x 10 nd it's converted to over the pocket, it now shows the size as "3 x3 or whatever it is. Or perhaps reversing that to show if the picture is 3 x 3 then "this" is how it looks on the shirt (front back or front etc...)

Iteresting idea I am putting allot into the developing the updated version I will look into what is required to ad the feature. It would be pretty complex and involve a little math but it is possible...

Comp Gen 2.0 Is almost ready. You can see it here.. It will let you make your own comps with your own preview images etc. Of course I will set it up with several comps preinstalled.

Next on the list will be a distress generator and an effects generator for your design work.

What is the license for editing and redistributing The Advanced Artist Comp Generator?

My friend and I are writing a program for a T-shirt screen printer in town that will handle sales orders and workflow and similar things - and we were looking for something like this so they could generate comps for sales orders. We were wondering - if we made any customizations to your script could we give them to our customers? We wouldn't change your logo or name on the files - nor would we charge for it.

However, since the script is yours, we'd want permission to be able to redistribute any edited copies. Is that cool?

We could even submit changes we made back to you so you could add them to your version of the script if you so chose.

I'm not sure if you're familiar with open-source licensing, but the BSD license or LGPL license would seem to be the appropriate ones here. Feel free to contact me if you have any concerns.

It's best that you contact Tom directly off the board via email or Private Message about licensing or support issues regarding the software.

Hi I am a newbie and I am not very good with technical computer stuff, could some send me or give me directions to download this for corel draw 12. I tryed with the original link and all i got was the downloads for the front and back, not able to use the generator. Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

This looks to be a huge help in designing my shirts and showing them to my clients.

I thank you in advance to any help.
