SIGNBLAZER files will not work with Cut Studio and why not??
OK so maybe its me but how do you get files you saved in Signblazer to work in the Cut Studio software ?? I am trying to open a file with Cut Studio that is saved in Signblazer (yes it is a EPS file)it says bad format.. is EPS not EPS not matter what program?

all eps files are not necessarily vector...so have you tried to copy/paste into CutStudio? I am not familiar with your software but try exporting from signblazer into another format that CutStudio will import...one of the other should work
Reason why you cannot open a signblazer file in another program, most of the program native files are proprietary.

Charles I am not that computer smart..lol, so lets just say this I did get them into the cutstudio software.. but when i try to import or open then in that program it tells me that its a bad format.

i think what charles is trying to say is that instead of trying to 'open' the signblazer file try placing or pasteing or importing it. not familiar with signblazer as well.........maybe post this question in the vinyl cutter section of the forum?

When you save the EPS file, is there an option to designate which AI version of the file? Cut Studio only works with certain versions of AI - there is something in the help about it... I think it's version 8 or 9?

Do you have Corel? If so, you could import into Corel, then use the plug-in to jump/paste the vectors into Cut Studio... If not, sorry, I'm about out of ideas...

catherine: is there an export option? again i don't use signblazer. i use a mac and illustrator so i use the cutstudio plugin that let's me send the data to the cutter right from illy. wish i knew more. did you ask in the vinyl cutting section? only reason i ask is that the people there know more about cutting programs.

pm me and give me your email address and I will send you mine...I have most of the graphic programs including cut studio...maybe the file is truly corrupt
