Default Ever outsource for graphics?

Just curious how common it is to outsource for custom logos, if your background is not in art/design.

There are lots of people in these forums that can help you. Check in the referrals area of the forum. Go to the home page, then scroll most of the way down to find it.
Good Luck!

I am not at the point yet, I was actually more curious who has done it, and what were some of the terms used with specialists, etc.

some artist charge on an hourly basis and some charge for a flat rate completed logo. designer hourly rates vary dramatically.. anywhere from $20-80+ an hour. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for...

Outsourcing for Logos and company identities is very common. It is done all the time because its silly to employ an inhouse designer if you dont need them on a regular basis.

You can contact your local design agency or post in the referral section of the forum. good luck.

I am an artist and I get contacted pretty regularly to create t shirt designs/logos for screenprinters. I would imagine its pretty common to outsource. If you ever wonder about rates for an artist just keep a few things in mind: the more detail you want=more time= more money. Personally I keep a large folder of already made vector images to go along with someone elses idea which helps keep it cheaper for you.

Hi,

Personally if people do not know how to design a
logo himself or have never hire a designer to do it for him, then he has to outsource to a professional designer in art or design area. Lots of people like need logo in his website or tshirt printing or vinyl cutter or Embroidery will need to outsource. It is actually very common and also cheaper.Anyway,It is worth a try!
