Default Vector Books

Hi gang!

I read a post the other day talking about book stores having books with vector image cd's in them. So, today I went to Barnes & Nobel and lpow and behold there was an entire section of books with cd's.

Each book said that the vector images on the cd were royalty free, however, the fine print stated that the images could only be used for "graphics and crafts applications". It went on to say that any other use of the images must first have permission from the company publishing the book and cd: Dover Publications. It did not specifically say that the images couldn't be used on items for resale (i.e. t-shirts).

My question: can I purchase these books and use the images from the cd's on t-shirts for resale?

As always...thank you for your help!

Default Re: Vector Books

I think most people would just use elements of the graphics, and change them to suite their needs. If your are planning on printing the clip art images directly onto T-shirts, you may run into some legal issues.
